Types of digital certificate


A1

A digital file is installed on the user's computer.

It is valid for 1 year.

A3

Stored in cryptographic media (Smart Card or Token).

Available with validities of 1, 2 or 3 years.

Documents required


Individual

    - Identity document (CNH, RG, RNE, Passport or Professional ID issued by a trade association or a competent authority);

    - Optional: PIS/Pasep, NIS, Voter ID or CEI.


All documents must be:

  • presented in their original form;
  • in good condition;
  • within their expiration date, if they have any.

  • Note:

    If any optional document has been informed when filling out the application, it must be submitted.

    Regulatory standards demand that a photograph be taken and fingerprints be collected at the moment of validation.


    Documents for each method must be presented as follows:

    • in-person validation: in physical or digital format*;
    • online renewal: in digital format*;
    • renewal via videoconference: in digital or scanned format with a registration/token allowing for online check (verifiable via token bus or any official software used by the authorities);
    • issuance of the "first" certificate via videoconference: in digital or scanned format with a registration/token allowing
    • for online check (verifiable via token bus or any official software used by the authorities).

    *Digital format: the document can be checked in its entirety on the website of the authority that performed the registration.

    Companies

      - Articles of Organization - registered with the competent authorities (e.g.: Simplified Statement issued by the Registry of Commerce);

      - Minutes of Election (if partners and/or the board of directors are elected in a separate occasion);

      - Proof of CNPJ Registration and Registration Status (printed on the day of validation);

      - Documents of Legal Representatives and/or Responsible Parties, pursuant to the documents required for individuals (see the list above).


    As for the documents:

    • Originals or certified copies must be submitted;
    • If the Articles of Organization in effect are not the original, it will be necessary to submit either the latest consolidated Articles or the original ones in addition to all subsequent amendments containing the clauses governing the company's management, business purpose, change in partnership and alterations to its trade name and capital;
    • If the organizational documents indicate that a company’s legal representative registered with the Federal Revenue Service cannot enter into an agreement on their own, all appointed legal representatives will be called upon for on-site validation and must supply their respective documents.
